Key requirements
Hong Kong's AML rulebook for banks (Authorized Institutions). Risk-based approach with a 3-tier customer risk model, PEP screening aligned with FATF, correspondent banking standards, wire transfer rules and VASP regulation. The November 2025 updates added new PEP guidance plus a guideline for voluntary AI-to-AI information sharing banks can now share information through automated systems to detect financial crime.
