Key requirements
The global crypto AML rulebook. Tells countries to license or register crypto firms (VASPs), apply AML/CFT rules to them and require the Travel Rule for crypto transfers above $1,000 or €1,000. As of June 2025, only 29% of assessed countries are compliant, many crypto firms exploit those gaps. The March 2026 report adds specific expectations for stablecoins and unhosted wallets.
